Homeopathy pillules and flower

The idea that you can take a pill and instantly be cured of your anxiety that may be rooted years, if not decades in the past, is not a realistic mindset.

There are endless medications out there that promise instant relief in symptoms, and they may indeed deliver…but at what cost?

Not considering potential side effects, perhaps worse is that the moment we take a pill that simply suppresses our symptoms without dealing with the reason behind our condition we avoid the core issue at hand.

Are you simply sweeping your anxiety under the rug by not doing the work you need to do to get to the root cause of it?

Have you questioned how and why you suffer from it?

Asking yourself these questions is the beginning of true and lasting healing.

SELF HEALING ENERGY

All living things have an inner wisdom.

When you plant a seed, it sprouts through no effort of its own.

When we graze our knee, our body instantly begins to heal itself. The body knows to send over red and white blood cells to the site of the cut to help stop further blood loss and infection. It knows the right time to produce granular and scar tissue.

If you stop to think about that healing process, you will realise how truly miraculous it is.

We don’t consciously do a single thing here!

It is the same with mental and emotional traumas. We all have the answer to our own suffering.

In Homeopathy, remedies are simply a catalyst that help reawaken our innate vital force (chi, or prana…or however you would like to define it).

This force is just like the force behind the seedling’s sprout or the healing of the cut. It is innate in all of us and, when we are in a healthy state, can propel us back onto the path of wellbeing!

HOMEOPATHY & ANXIETY

Taking Homeopathic remedies prescribed by a qualified Practitioner can radically reduce Anxiety by dealing with the root cause.

Homeopathy is individualised and there are hundreds of remedies that may be suited to treat a person with Anxiety.

Equally, a person may need a series of remedies…healing is not instant or linear. It occurs at the right pace and order as this journey is different for everyone.

Homeopathic Remedies for Anxiety

Arsenicum Album - This person may have heart palpitations and panic attacks late at night (usually around midnight), dark thoughts that keep them from sleeping, a fastidious personality (meaning everything must be perfect, neat and in order for you to feel calm), an over concern about health and disease, a fear of death.

Aconite – Panic attacks that come on suddenly and intensely with flushing of the face and strong palpitations. Symptoms may come on just before a cold or flu. The panic can sometimes be related to a past trauma which is relived intensely in the moment of a flare up.

Argentum Nitricum – Over active mind, racing thoughts, fear and apprehension. A top remedy for stage fright, anxiety that comes on just before public speaking. Fear of heights, of being trapped. Often accompanied with digestive disorders eg diarrhoea.

Calcarea Carbonica – Shy, like to hide away when scared. Like their routines and structure. Fear of new situations and strangers. Feeling overwhelmed especially when called to adapt and change.

Gelsemium – good for stage fright, anticipatory anxiety and anxiety before exams or tests. Fear of underperforming. Can tremble or shake and feel incredibly weak. Can feel dizzy or suffer from headaches. All symptoms come on very slowly and take time to dissipate.

Ignatia – Anxiety following grief or trauma. Can seem hysterical with wild mood swings…laughing one moment and crying uncontrollably the next. Deep sighing or yawning. Can feel a lump in the throat which makes it difficult to swallow but equally feels better after eating.

Kali Phosphoricum – Anxiety with nervous exhaustion. Brought on by being over worked or under continuous stress. Can be irritable, suffer from insomnia and is unable to have proper rest.

Lycopodium – Lack of self-confidence, fear of failure, of not being good enough but is haughty and can get controlling and brash to compensate for this. Terrified of public speaking but you wouldn’t know it by looking at them.

Phosphorus – Fears being alone, the dark and thunderstorms. Is easily reassured by others around them but worries that something (unable to say what) will go wrong. Imagination runs wild. Clairvoyant tendencies, premonitions … overall a highly sensitive individual.  Can get burnt out.

Pulsatilla – Anxiety in people who need constant reassurance. They can appear childlike, insecure and in need of support from people around them. Can be weepy and tearful. Symptoms worsen around hormonal cycles and in a hot, stuffy room.

Stramonium – Anxious at night, commonly with night terrors or intense, visual nightmares. They may see monsters in the shadows and present with delirium. Violent outbursts, stammering, stuttering and nervous gestures.

The above is just a glimpse into the various remedies we could use. Always seek the advice from a qualified practitioner when prescribing on this level!
